A Close Encounter with White-crested Laughingthrush

I was jogging at Bukit Batok Nature Reserve yesterday morning and while resting at the carpark near the Memorials, I saw 5 birds singing on a tree. This bird is known as White-crested Laughingthrush.

One of the bird didn't seem to afraid of me, probably I looked harmless and friendly ;-) It flew right in front of me and stayed calmly there for me to take photo.

I am so lucky to capture this bird at such a close distance, as I always find it hard to take a nice bird photo using my Point & Shoot camera. Hope that I will have more of this opportunity to take bird's photo at a close distance.

  1. Hi Sam, just to let you know that laughingthrushes and bulbuls are from two different families. So the laughingthrushes are not bulbuls
